WHO ARE WE?
We are a bicycle repair shop that provides high quality repair, maintenance and customization work in an environment that promotes accessibility and inclusion for cyclists and bike owners of all levels and riding specialties.
At our shop you’ll find Dom, a skilled bicycle mechanic and cycling enthusiast with over ten years experience as a service technician and manager; Juliana, administrative extraordinaire with a passion for small business management; and our pup Winona, who really runs the show. We are conscientious Philadelphians and Mt. Airy locals striving to make a positive impact in our community through bicycles.
WHY DO WE DO THIS?
We do this because bicycles are one the most accessible and environmentally friendly forms of transportation and we want to extend the benefits of cycling to as many people as possible. We do this because we find this work both engaging and fulfilling - we want to be here! We do this because the industry has a solution for almost every problem, but often leaves consumers in the dark about their options and we think that’s a shame. We do this because we want to cultivate a welcoming and intimidation-free bike shop experience for everyone from first-time riders to professional racers. Bicycles = freedom, and we think everyone deserves some of that.

We repair, maintain, and customize all types of bicycles and sell a variety of quality bicycle accessories. We’re here to help you navigate the complicated and sometimes overwhelming task of upgrading your current bicycle or selecting a new one, and offer recommendations tailored to suit your individual needs.
We provide clients with crucial information about proper at-home and regularly-scheduled maintenance to ensure that they get the most out of their bicycles. We offer body positioning consultations to make sure that everyone, no matter their skill level, can enjoy the best possible cycling experience. We continually evolve our practices to maximize efficiency, minimize the time that bikes spend in our store, and ultimately reduce the hassle of keeping riders’ bikes in fine working order.
As a shop that does not stock bikes for retail, WBR is under no pressure to convince customers that the bikes in our store or manufactured by our partnered brands are the perfect fit for any one person. Instead, our internet purchase consultation service allows us to help you find the bicycle that best fits your needs and provide you with information about available upgrades and alternatives that will truly tailor the bike to your purposes.
